I was sitting cross-legged on the floor of Sage Yoga and wellness where it once stood on 8th Street in Downtown Boise. This was the start of my first yoga teacher training cohort and I was anything but confident. filled with anxiety, in pain, and quietly desperate for something I couldn’t name I listened to the teacher with only half my brain while the other half tried to figure out how I woudl pay for my new hobby-yoga.
At the time, I was carrying years of chronic pain, emotional exhaustion, and a fractured relationship with food and my body. I didn’t love myself. I didn’t even know how. I was looking for healing, but all I had found were temporary fixes that never reached the root.
Then, one day, our teacher spoke about something called sattvic living — a life guided by clarity, peace, simplicity, and spiritual nourishment. I had never heard the word before, but something inside me stirred. It wasn’t intellectual. It was instinctual. This, I thought, is what I’m looking for.
That night, after a quick google search I ordered my first Ayurveda book from Amazon. It had less than 50 pages — but it truly cracked something within me open.
Within weeks, I was researching Ayurvedic schools across the country. And not long after that, I uprooted my life to go study with my teacher — not because it made perfect sense on paper, but because, for the first time in a long time, something felt right in my body.
☀️ Boise’s Beauty, Boise’s Rhythm
One of the reasons I love Boise so much is its pace. We’re a growing city, yes — but we haven’t lost our connection to the land, the seasons, or each other. There’s a friendliness here, a realness. You’ll find people who still wave as they pass you on the Greenbelt. You’ll find slow Saturday mornings at the Farmer’s Market, local herbalists, makers, and healers offering their crafts with heart.
Our dry high-desert climate makes us especially attuned to seasonal shifts. Whether it's the intensity of wildfire season, the crispness of fall, or the inward pull of winter, our bodies respond — often with fatigue, dryness, burnout, or emotional imbalance.
Ayurveda helps us listen to those signals instead of pushing past them.
🌿 What Is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda, meaning “the science of life,” is a 5,000-year-old system of natural healing from India. Rather than treating symptoms, it teaches us how to live in rhythm with our unique constitution and the natural world. That includes what you eat, when you sleep, how you breathe, and even how you move through stress or emotion.
At the heart of Ayurveda is the understanding that everything is connected — your digestion, your hormones, your sleep, your mood — and that by restoring balance to one part, the whole begins to heal.
It’s not a quick fix. It’s not a trendy cleanse. It’s a remembering — a slow return to your body’s wisdom.
🕊️ Unify Mind Body: A Modern Sanctuary for Ancient Healing
Through Unify Mind Body, I offer holistic Ayurvedic support for women in Boise who are ready to reconnect — to their bodies, their cycles, and their sense of self.
My approach blends Ayurvedic counseling, customized nutrition and routine guidance, lymphatic massage, Reiki, and somatic healing. Whether you’re navigating postpartum recovery, perimenopause, chronic fatigue, or just that subtle feeling of being “off,” Ayurveda offers tools that are gentle, grounded, and deeply personal.
There’s no one-size-fits-all here. Together, we co-create a plan that meets you where you are and honors the whole of who you are — physically, emotionally, and energetically.
🪷 From Disconnection to Deep Knowing
Ayurveda didn’t just give me better digestion or more energy. It gave me a new way of living. A way that honors my sensitivity. My rhythms. My need for rest, joy, and nourishment.
It helped me feel at home in my body — and in this life.
Now, I’m honored to offer that same support to other women in our Boise community who are ready to soften, slow down, and reconnect with the most honest parts of themselves.
